About our Founder and Principal Lawyer
Catherine was admitted to practice on 19 February 2008, by Josephe Santamaria KC, in the Supreme Court of Victoria as an Australian Legal Practitioner.
Before opening Equitably in 2024, Catherine worked as an employment lawyer and Associate Director at Blue Rock Law.
In 2019, Catherine completed the Industrial Relations Society of Victoria's Advocacy Course. in the Fair Work Commission.
Between 2018 and 2021, Catherine worked as a Senior Associate (employment law) at Gilchrist Connell.
Between 2016 and 2018, Catherine ran her own successful practice to support her three children with Autism.
Between 2008 and 2016, Catherine worked for A.J Macken & Co, a specialist employment law firm.
Between 2007 and 2008, Catherine completed her articles of clerkship with A.J Macken & Co under Tony Macken.
In 2006, Catherine graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
In 2002, Catherine graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts.
Interests
Catherine is a strong advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion. Catherine participates each year in the Run for Autism and provides pro-bono advice to a number of not-for-profit organisations in the disability and LGBTQI+ communities.
